Prof. Cohen is a pediatric gastroenterologist who serves as head of the Institute of Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases at the Dana Duek Children’s Hospital of the Ikhilov Medical Center. He treats a wide range of GI disorders in children: chronic abdominal pain, constipation and diarrhea, lactose intolerance, food allergies, inflammatory bowel diseases, etc. During his career, he has performed thousands of gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures on children of different ages. The professor performs these procedures both for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, for example, to remove polyps or foreign bodies from the GI tract. One of the main areas of the professor’s work is the treatment of children with growth and developmental delays caused by malnutrition due to swallowing problems, gluten disease or psychological problems.
