Professor Alhasid is a Pediatrician and Oncohematologist, specializing in the treatment of malignant blood disorders in children. She heads the Pediatric Oncohematology Department at the Ichilov Medical Center and maintains a private practice at the Assuta Clinic.

Professor Alhasid combines clinical, pedagogical, and research activities. She lectures on oncohematology to medical students at the Technion University Faculty of Medicine and to students at the School of Nursing at Rambam Medical Center.
