Professor Haim Matzkin is a leading Israeli Urologist. His primary focus areas are Urological Surgery and Oncological Urology. He was invited to the Assuta Clinic as a highly qualified specialist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), chronic prostatitis, and prostate cancer. Academic and scientific activities
Haim Matzkin received his basic medical education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed his clinical residency in Urology at the Tel Aviv University. After advanced courses in Urology at the Ichilov-Sourasky Medical Center and a Fellowship in Oncological Urology in the USA (Miami and Memphis), he began his work, eventually rising to the position of Senior Physician and later Head of the Urology Department at the Assuta Clinic (the text states he headed the department, but experience lists him as Senior Physician). Concurrently, he serves as the Deputy Head of the Medical Center for Research and Development.
For his successful work in the Urology Department at Tel Aviv University, he was awarded the title of Professor.
The Professor is the author of numerous articles published in leading medical journals. His research topics include:
- Transperineal ultrasound as a method for detecting large malignant prostate neoplasms;
- Peculiarities of CT scanning after percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures;
- The role of the drug Dutasteride in the development of prostate cancer.
