Professor Yossi Alkelai is one of Israel’s leading specialists in skin surgery and dermato-oncology. He maintains a private practice at the Assuta Clinic and heads his private facility, the “Skin & More Medical Center”.
The Professor was recognized as one of the best doctors by Forbes Israel in 2021.
His main specialization is Mohs Micrographic Surgery (MOHS), a technique he introduced and actively promoted in Israel following his specialized training in the United States.

Academic and scientific activities
Professor Alkelai is the author of approximately 100 scientific papers in dermatology. He not only performs surgery but also lectures on Mohs surgery to dermatologists from various countries worldwide.
Mohs Surgery (MOHS): This procedure is used for skin cancer, involving the layer-by-layer removal of tumor-affected tissue. A histological analysis of the removed tissue is performed concurrently. This demanding procedure requires the surgeon to possess exceptional skill and extensive experience.
The Professor continues to promote the Mohs method in Israel, runs a website dedicated to these operations, and heads the training program for surgeons specializing in MOHS procedures.
