Professor Yuval Yaron is one of the leading Israeli Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He currently successfully combines his role as Head of the Prenatal (Antenatal) Diagnosis Unit at the Ichilov-Sourasky Medical Center with his clinical practice at the Assuta Clinic. In addition to Obstetrics and Gynecology, Professor Yaron specializes in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and prenatal diagnosis of genetic diseases.

Academic and scientific activities
Professor Yaron began his career as a gynecologist and later headed the Ultrasound Diagnosis Unit at Sheba Medical Center. He completed his specialization in Medical Genetics at the Wayne State University Medical Center (Detroit, USA), where he also worked as a physician in the IVF Unit.
Upon returning to Israel, he began teaching at Tel Aviv University, where he subsequently became a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Yuval Yaron combines his teaching activities with scientific research, maintaining collaboration with Wayne State Medical Center as a member of the research group on prenatal genetics issues.
Professor Yaron’s scientific works are published in many respected international professional journals. His studies on the clinical manifestations of Rett Syndrome in males with MECP2 gene mutations and on preimplantation genetic diagnosis for Canavan-van Bogaert-Bertrand disease are of particular interest.
